Whisky.com Nosing 3:58 Whisky.com tastes the Glenkinchie Distillers Edition. It was distilled in 1995. So this bottle is three years old. The distillers edition is always a special whisky. Here the whisky has been finished in a special sherry cask. It is a Lowland whisky, but it was produced in a Highland Scotch style. The nose: Fruitness, sherry, floral notes, a little spiciness with nuts and oakiness. The taste: Smooth and mellow in the mouth, but as soon as you swallow you feel the spiciness dryness of the oak. The finish: It fades out with the tastes of the oak.
