[Delta IV] Launch of WGS-6 on Delta IV Medium Rocket from Cape

An American Delta IV rocket in the (5,4) configuration successfully blasted off from Space Launch Complex 37 at Cape Canaveral today, August 8th 2013 at 00:29 UTC. The 23rd flight of the Delta IV carried the US Air Force's WGS-6 satellite into orbit. WGS-6 (Wideband Global Satcom) has a planned life of atleast 14 years and with it's X-band and Ka-Band transponders will provide coverage for the United States.
